Liga F President, Beatriz Álvarez, traveled to Coruña

Beatriz Álvarez joined Deportivo Abanca for their grand debut at Riazor. Liga F President, Beatriz Álvarez, traveled to Coruña to attend the match between Deportivo Abanca and FC Barcelona, marking Deportivo's first appearance in the top division.

The event, held at the Riazor stadium, attracted 7,364 spectators, a testament to the outstanding work the Coruña club has done with its women’s team. Liga F President Álvarez spoke  about the new challenges facing the Association in the 2024/2025 season and praised the lively atmosphere at Riazor as Deportivo Abanca celebrated their return to Primera División.

She also emphasized the significance of having the world’s top players in Liga F, which boasts the most nominees for the 2024 Ballon d’Or, with seven players in the running. In the VIP box, Liga F President Álvarez was joined by Michelle Clemente, a Deportivo Abanca board member, with whom she discussed the club’s ambitious new project. She was also presented with a first-team jersey by Marta Fernández Currás, another board member.

During her visit, Liga F President Álvarez met with key figures from Galician institutions, including María Quintiana, Director General for Promotion and Equality, and Fabiola García, Minister of Social Policy and Equality, both of whom were keen to support Deportivo on this significant day for the "blanquiazul" team.
